Art Diamond - Owner
Art Diamond has 35 years experience and is part of the second generation in property restoration. Art has a passion for transforming outdoor spaces. Art recently acquired Hawthorne Property Services, bringing new vision and expertise to commercial landscaping and snow plowing in the Syracuse area. Having spent years in the emergency restoration business, Art is uniquely positioned to help local businesses enhance their outdoor spaces with both beauty and resilience. Having grown up in Syracuse, Art Diamond understands the unique challenges of the local weather, from managing snow and ice in the winter to cultivating vibrant landscapes during the summer months.
Ray Carney - General Manager
Ray Carney founded Hawthorne Property Services with one goal in mind: to create beautiful, functional landscapes that leave a lasting impression. With years of experience in commercial landscaping and property management, he’s dedicated to providing businesses with tailored, year-round care.
With over 40+ years of experience in the landscaping industry, Ray Carney leads Hawthorne Property Services with a commitment to delivering exceptional outdoor spaces. His expertise in both landscape design and maintenance ensures that every project enhances the beauty and value of your business property.
Hanson Myers- General Manager Syracuse
On November 18, 2024, Hanson Myers I officially joined Hawthorne Property Services, as the new General Manager. Born in Maryland in 1969 my family moved to Liverpool, NY where I attended grades 3-12 graduating from LHS in 1987 in the top 9% of my class. After a brief time attending the University of Buffalo it was clear college was not for me, so I started working a few various jobs until my family moved to Florida when I was 20. Shortly thereafter I came back to New York, where I began my career in property maintenance. It was in 1990 that I began my journey up through the ranks of residential and commercial property service. In 1994 I started my own company called Diamond landscaping.
I built my business on quality work and a drive for excellence. For 26 years I fought, managed, and grew Diamond Landscaping to a reputable, formidable service company anyone would be proud of. Our employees and customers were terrific, and we developed a solid reputation in the maintenance and landscape community. In 2020, for various reasons the thought of selling came into play and after some negotiations a buyer was found. So, for the last 4 years I have been solely focused on landscape and hardscape work, however my roots are deep in the maintenance business and in CNY. Art Diamond and Ray Carney have put their faith in me coming onboard to help grow and make Hawthorne Property Services even better than it is now, I look forward to learning even more under their leadership and I am most definitely excited about the future and what I can bring to this already stellar company.
